Hangout: Singles
Valentine's Day -- and the month of February as a whole -- can bring lots of thoughts about love and romance. We know there's a lot of us who choose to stay single for a myriad of reasons, and may not find support in that decision. There's also a lot of us who are single now, and have a lot of complicated feelings about trying to find a partner -- if that's what you're looking for. We want to hold space for sibs to talk about what it's like to be single, and to be around others who share that experience too. Join us for a laid-back hangout with others who get it! Register here.

Sibling Shindig!
The 2023 Sibling Shindig: Celebrating Sibling Support and Community Transformation. Save the date for the Sibling Transformation Project’s 2023 Sibling Shindig with special guest Liat Ben-Moshe! February 15th at 5pm PT/8pm ET on Zoom. Tickets available here.

Holiday Hangout
The end of the year can be difficult for sibs. Whether you are spending the holidays with your family and sibs, or away, we know that lots of complicated feelings can be present. Come share moments of joy and frustration, and be in community with people who *get it.* This hangout will be a laid back opportunity to connect, reflect, and share what’s in our hearts!

Festive Kitchen Karaoke
8-9:30pm ET. Get ready to make some fun memories as we celebrate the holidays with Joh Chase and festive jams! This is an event for you and your disabled sibs to come to together. Join from your kitchen and sing your heart out! Festive songs are encouraged (from any culture or tradition) but every song is welcome. In your RSVP, comment with the songs you want to karaoke to with your sib, so we can add it to our playlist!

2022 Cohort Retreat #5
Retreats will occur five times throughout the cohort. These virtual gatherings are aimed at allowing cohort members to share their full selves with a community of support. During the first retreat, the cohort will establish group agreements so that members can name what practices will make a space feel safe for them.

Study Series: Crisis Response 2 with Project LETS
Crises are some of the most difficult experiences to navigate as a sibling - whether it's your sib or a family member going through it. We want to continue our previous conversation about non-carceral responses and strengthen our skills on how we can de-escalate potentially violent situations. We're inviting Stefanie Lyn Kaufman-Mthimkhulu of Project LETS to help guide us in our learning. Join us to learn, ask questions, and be together as we try to untangle our responses to crises. No previous experience is necessary, and you don't have to have been at the first iteration of Crisis Response Training to attend (this will be a different training altogether).

Study Series: Behaviorism
Heidi Hillman is autistic and a stutterer, and she brings her experience as a disabled person to how she approaches her work as an ABA therapist. What if we apply an anti-ableist lens to this often-paid for therapy, and find ways to use it to support disabled people rather than use it to enforce ableist norms? Heidi is both visionary in her approach and in the details of practical suggestions to help create access in our families. We love her and are thrilled to have her back for a second year for another conversation - join us!
